JNBS SPONSORED
KSAMLA MASTERS LEAGUE KICK-OFF SUNDAY WITH CHAMPIONS CUP JNBS has agreed to a work with KSAMLA over a three year period to create a "sustainable masters league program. Support will be given to the Association who at the end of the year period, should be stronger and not solely dependent on sponsorship". The 2010 JNBS Champions Cup features defending triple-champions Barbican against Telecom Strikers. The dress parade begins at 2:30 pm and will be followed by the Champions Cup at 4:00 pm. Barbican will be seeking their third straight Masters League title when the League begins on Sunday, July 25 with a full slate of games. However, stiff competition is expected from the pre-season favorites, Constant Spring, who have bolstered their already potent squad with new signings Fabian Watkins of Boys' Town Premier League, and Ken Ellis, the most prolific goal scorer in KSAMLA history. As the top striker for St. George's Masters, Ellis won back-to-back Masters League Golden Boot in 1999 and 2000, again in 2006, when he was also the MVP, and shared the scoring title with Roan Rousseau of Pelicans in 2007. |
