2011 JNBS MASTERS LEAGUE AWARDS PRESENTATION REPORT

O'NEIL MCDONALD is THE 2011 JNBS MASTERS LEAGUE mvP & ROOKIE OF THE YEAR 23.1.2012 – Constant Spring's ace striker, O'Neil "Chippy" McDonald, a former Jamaican international, captured the 2011 JNBS Masters League MVP and Rookie of the Year awards last Thursday at the League's awards presentation. McDonald scored 14 goals for the season, and led Constant Spring to an unprecedented sweep of all four titles in the JNBS sponsored Kingston and St. Andrew Masters League Association (KSAMLA) competitions.
JNBS Marketing Coordinator, Suzanne Hendriks, presented the JNBS FA Cup (Delroy Seixas cup) to Constant spring's Brenton Smith . Constant Spring formalized their dominance over the masters league this season by picking-up the JNBS Champions Cup, the Peter Cargill Cup as the mid-season champions, the inaugural JNBS FA Cup, named in memory of Delroy Seixas, and the JNBS masters league championship title.

Other big winners at the awards presentation were, Denton Shedden of Barbican who claimed the Golden Boot as the League's top marksman with 18 goals. Carl Sewell of Constant Spring was the Coach of the Year, while Wayne Campbell, who inspired Telecom Strikers to a second place finish in the JNBS championship final, was the Manager of the Year.
JNBS Marketing Coordinator, Suzanne Hendriks, presented the Manager of the Year award to Wayne Campbell of Telecom Strikers. Meanwhile, Christian Ambassadors, who completed the season without receiving any yellow or red cards, were the Most Disciplined team; Brown's Town, who knocked-out defending champions Barbican at the quarter-finals, were the Most Improved team; Reinaldo Francis was awarded the Golden Whistle as the Referee of the Year; and Sylvia Davis was the Match Commissary of the Year.

Constant Spring's utility player, Desmond Tucker, was named the Captain of the 2012 JNBS-KSAMLA All Masters (26 players) squad. The other All Masters members are: Kirk Williams (Constant Spring), Mark Walters (Telecom Strikers), Donovan Walker (Barbican), Donald Stewart (Packers), Stafford Fong, (Barbican), Roan McDermott (Harbour View), Rohan Tomlinson (Kingston Commissioners), Gary Francis (Shortwood), Peter Grant (Brown's Town), David Laylor (Cavalier), Garfield Cooke (Park Rovers), Jahaim Pettigrew (Cavalier), Roan Rousseau (Pelicans), David Jones (Thunderbolts), Raymond Smith (Constant Spring), Victor Samuels (Santos), Robert Scott (Boys' Town), Andrew Chisholm (Real Mona), Dane Brown (Lion Kings), Mark Miller (Police Nationals), Delroy Morris (Telecom Strikers), Denton Shedden (Barbican), Phillip Riley (Christian Ambassadors), O'Neil McDonald (Constant Spring), and Garfield Riley (St. George's).
